Founded in 2005, Pocket Angels Poker League (PAPL) strives to encourage women to become more involved in the over-whelmingly popular game of No-limit Texas Hold'em. We have tournaments, cash games, social get-togethers and lots of fun. I have been playing poker and card games since I was a very young child. On holidays, I used to play games with my great-grandmother. At 18 years old, I discovered poker (dealers choice games such as 5-card draw, 7-card stud, etc.) About 8 years ago, I started playing Omaha and Pot Limit Texas Hold'em. Now, many, many years later....I play No-limit Hold'em and my game is not that much better! Hence, another reason PAPL exists! | Caryn is the big winner....even though she cheats! Of course, we are kidding girl! She had a rock solid session and even conquered the High Hand of the 11-week session. Her low night of the league was a 6-point night in which Shaina Fenimore had two impressive weeks to end up with a 3rd place finish. We discovered that giving Mica shots of Jager significantly improves her game. NO MORE JAGER FOR YOU GIRLIE! Bringing up the end of our cash recipients was Linda who again had a bet with Angie and Cindy (when will we learn???) The "B" ended up making the money after all and $20 each from Angie and Cindy. | Angie's 39 and "Hold "Em" Birthday Party and Poker Tournament was a huge success... or a drunken mess! Guess it depends on where you were! If you were playing poker, it was a barrel of laughs. If you were on the dance floor, it was twice as fun. BUT, if you were in the front corner of the lounge, then it must have been ROCK SOLID. Those folks over there were flat out crazy crazy! Josie Leach and Fred Alonzo chopped first and second place. Someone else came in third. I cashed somewhere....not sure. (Yes, it was that bad!) Thanks to Doc for spinning on the dance floor. Drunk people just LOVE spinning! Thanks tor John for running the tournament. Thanks to Rene for dealing. Thanks to Ida for feeding me. Thanks to the Community Service boy at the Lodge that helped decorate. Thanks to Accelerator for piping out some great tunes. Thanks to Victoria for dealing black jack (did someone win???) Thanks to the bartenders at the Lodge who ROCK. Thanks to all my friends for showing up...and bringing presents! Bribery got me lots of really cool stuff!! Most of all, thanks to Kim and John for the food and the cake and for making my birthday party a huge success. It was better than I expected and more than I ever could have wanted! I love you both!
